You've might have had a chance to think about what company you'd like to work for already. That dream company. There are plenty of picks, and luckily most of the hottest tech companies are based right here in the bay area.

Starting the search for a potential employer can be daunting. There are tons of companies, and the competition is aggressive. When looking for a new workplace, there are a few things you need to take into consideration. Some aspects you might want to include is; how is the work culture and what kind of benefit can the company offer?


A recent ranking conducted by Glassdoor rated these as the top 5 
tech companies to work for in 2015:

1. Google




Rating: 4.5 (out of 5)
Headquarters: Mountain View, CA

This might not come as a shocker. Google offers some of the best employee perks, opportunities for career growth, innovative culture and work that positively impacts the human race. And this isn't the first time; Google claimed the top spot on Glassdoor's annual list for the 5th time in a row. Google has everything that an employee would expect, being the second-largest company in the United States in terms of market capitalization. Bicycles and electric cars to get staff to meetings, gaming centers, organic gardens and eco-friendly furnishings are just some of the perks the company offers. Google wants to make its employees' life easy, and is constantly searching for ways to improve the health, well-being and morale of its Googlers (a google employee).


2. Facebook

Headquarters: Menlo Park, CA

The social media giant Facebook is known for its incredible perks like great parental leave policy, beautiful offices and gourmet meals. But employees say Facebook also provides them with another unique perk: The company gifts workers with Facebook ad credits to donate to the charity or cause of their choice, according to employees who reviewed the social media giant on Glassdoor. How awesome is that! Also, who wouldn't want to get paid to sit on Facebook all day? 

3. F5 Networks



Rating: 4.1 (out of 5)
Headquarters: Seattle, WA

This company might not be as famous as its competitors. F5 provides solutions for the application world and company helps organizations seamlessly scale cloud, data center, and software defined networking (SDN). In other words, the technology is designed to get the most out of applications and resources. Employing people from different backgrounds is a key to F5’s success. Having a diverse and inclusive workplace allows a variety of ideas and thoughts to be shared for the benefit of the company.“Very competitive salary, great benefits that challenge the huge multi-nationals. Plus, the culture is something that makes your day worth being in the office, the atmosphere where everybody understands we are in the same ship and we need to sail it together," writes an F5 networks software engineer in Seattle, Washington.

4. Qualcomm

Headquarters: San Diego, CA

Telecommunications company Qualcomm is often getting praise for its career culture. Just this year, it was cited one of the highest rated tech companies for internships. Interns get a chance to work on projects, have mentors, and network. In addition, over half of Qualcomm’s interns land full-time employment after graduation. Qualcomm has appeared on the FORTUNE 100 Best Companies to Work For list for 15 consecutive years.

5. Adobe



Rating: 4.1 (out of 5)
Headquarters: San Jose, Ca

Computer software company Adobe offers their employees much-needed downtime by shutting down the entire US office for one week during the holidays and the summer. Employees also rave about the ample opportunities for paid time off. The company also recently announced that through the combination of medical and parental leave, new birth mothers will receive up to 26 weeks of paid time off beginning November 1, 2015. That's pretty amazing!
