You might have established that you want to work for a Tech company. But what kind of tech company appeals to you? To help you narrow down your search, I've included some essential questions you might want to ask yourself when deciding what kind of company would be suitable for you:

Startup:

- Does the idea of working in a nontraditional setting and solving new problems every day appeal to me?

- Do I want a self-directed role that will constantly change and evolve as the company does?

- Am I prepared to take on the risks and challenges of being involved with a new startup (i.e., business failure, low up-front compensation, long hours)?


Tech giant:

- Am I looking for financial stability and a strong career path with regular raises and promotions?

- Do I perform best when I'm in a structured environment with clear-cut processes and reporting lines?

- Am I willing to accept less credit and recognition within the company in exchange for access to greater resources, professional development and networking opportunities?

You've might have had a chance to think about what company you'd like to work for already. That dream company. There are plenty of picks, and luckily most of the hottest tech companies are based right here in the bay area.

Starting the search for a potential employer can be daunting. There are tons of companies, and the competition is aggressive. When looking for a new workplace, there are a few things you need to take into consideration. Some aspects you might want to include is; how is the work culture and what kind of benefit can the company offer?

A recent ranking conducted by Glassdoor rated these as the top 5 tech companies to work for in 2015:

1. Google

So you're here. You got into business school and you also just mortgaged yourself for the rest of your life - just to get this fancy degree on your resume. Now what?

Not any job. You need a good job. You need a good job that can pay off your student-mortgage (dont forget the student-mortgage). And you're in San Fransisco, land of the thousand startups and tech companies. A tech job would probably be a good idea.

So this is me anyway. Luckily I have at least 8 months (actually, lets make that 6) to get a decent job once I graduate from my fancy Masters degree. But I am actually really excited about it - and I wanna share what I learn with you guys.
